Various areas in the Surinamese interior have been affected by flooding. This can cause health problems such as diarrhea, vomiting or skin complaints. In consultation with the Medical Mission, the Ministry of Health has decided to provide these areas with medicines in preparation for a possible outbreak.
The transfer of the medicines took place today. The medical situation in the affected areas is closely monitored by the Medical Mission, the Ministry of Health reports in a press release.
