BALIKPAPANKOMPAS.com – A Muay Thai athlete named Muhammad Nur Fadhillah or familiarly called Dilla (20) had to undergo treatment at the hospital due to bruises on his face and broken bones.
However, apparently the medical expenses are not covered by the Health Social Security Administering Agency (BPJS).
Not without reason, apparently there are regulations that regulate this.

Referring to Law Number 13 of 2006 concerning Protection of Witnesses and Victims as amended by Law Number 31 of 2014, that victims of criminal acts are not guaranteed health services.
“It is not regulated, in accordance with Presidential Regulation 82 of 2018 there are some services that are not covered because they have been covered by other agencies. Health services due to persecution are not covered,” said the branch head. BPJS Health Balikpapan Sugiyanto, Saturday (16/4/2022).
Sugiyanto said that victims of criminal acts can apply to the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) to receive treatment or care services.
“So it doesn’t go to BPJS Health, it goes to LPSK, please submit an application there,” he said.

Meanwhile, Dilla’s attorney, Sapto Hadi Pamungkas, said that his client had to pay for the treatment of his wounds due to abuse by his former coach.
Even though the victim had to undergo surgery for a broken nose, which cost a lot of money.
“Currently, according to the confirmation of hospital officials that the victim cannot be covered by BPJS Health, so that costs are needed for the nose fracture surgery,” he said.
