Medical Emergency Rescue Committee (MER-C) Indonesia Reports Good Condition of Three Missing Volunteers

Medical Emergency Rescue Committee (MER-C) Indonesia had lost contact with three of his volunteers. Now, MER-C reports that the three are in good condition.

“During the loss of contact for more than 40 hours since Friday, 27 October 2023 at 14.00 WIB, today Sunday, 29 October 2023, at around 10.00 WIB, local MER-C staff in Gaza informed us via short message that they were among the 3 Indonesian volunteers in “Good condition,” wrote MER-C Indonesia via its Instagram account, Sunday (29/10/2023).

The SMS message said that the three were in good condition. They also still have food.

“Assalamu’alaikum. Akhi we are in good condition Alhamdulillah, Syabab (three children Fikri, Reza, Farid) is also fine. They are all fine, don’t worry. Alhamdulillah the Hospital is fine. And we still have food,” said the text message.

MER-C has also communicated by telephone. However, currently information is still very limited.

“Even though we can communicate via SMS, we cannot yet talk via telephone so the information obtained is still very limited,” continued MER-C.

Previously, the Head of the MER-C Presidium, Dr Sarbini Abdul Murad, said that three volunteers had lost contact.

“Three MER-C volunteers in Gaza, Fikri Rofiul Haq, Reza Aldilla Kurniawan, Farid Zanzabil Al Ayubi. It’s been two days,” he said, Sunday (29/10).

His party has coordinated with the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. However, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also lost contact with the three.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also lost contact with Indonesian volunteers. Both have lost contact. Please pray,” he said.
