There is a medical alert in Romania, after the number of chicken pox cases increased alarmingly in a county.
It is about Calarasi county, where the number of chicken pox cases has increased alarmingly in recent weeks. Here, cases of illness began to appear as early as November 2023, but the disease has spread.
Doctors announce that in the case of chicken pox there is no specific treatment for healing, but patients must see a doctor. Also, during the illness, they must stay at home and not go out into the community where the disease is easily transmitted. This is because chicken pox is a very contagious infectious disease that is quickly transmitted from one person to another. The disease is manifested by skin rash, fever, headache and muscle pain.
Until now, no varicella epidemic has been officially declared, but if the number of cases continues to increase, and the outbreaks multiply, a varicella epidemic will be declared in Calarasi.
Chickenpox can be prevented by vaccination. Adults can also benefit from the measles vaccine, not only children.
