Jakarta (ANTARA) – MediaTek, a semiconductor company from Taiwan, was launched chipset new exclusively for Smart TV or smart TV named Pentonic 1000.
This chip is designed to support a reliable viewing experience while also displaying 4K quality refresh rate 120Hz.
“We designed the MediaTek Pentonic 1000 specifically to meet today’s smart TV trends, incl streaming 4K, game cloudvideo conferencing and viewing business together,” MediaTek TV business unit general manager Alex Chen said in an official statement on Saturday.

Besides focusing on support for on-screen displays, this chip also brings many other benefits like Wi-Fi 6/6E support, MMEC for smoother video quality, and Dolby Vision IQ.
There is also an “Intelligent View” feature so that users can watch some of them streaming content at once.
Smart TVs using the Pentonic 1000 can also be used by lovers game because it can support VRR (Variable Refresh rate) up to 4K@144Hz for gaming.
Another excellent feature for the players is “Auto Low Latency Mode” (ALLM) so that users can be more agile when playing games.
The AI in the Pentonic 1000 is also said to be a step up from its competitors.
Contohnya serti AI- Super Resolution (AI-SR), AI-Picture Quality (AI-PQ) Scene Recognition, and AI-PQ Object Recognition.
For AI-SR MediaTek enhances the appearance of the display which results in edge smoothing and detail reconstruction so that it can display FHD resolution content that resembles 4K resolution.
Meanwhile, AI-PQ is able to enhance image quality for realistic depth perception so that content appears more alive.
Smart Pentonic 1000-powered televisions will be available on the market in the first quarter of 2023.
