The Geekbench score of the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset is promising.

From the platform Geekbench, MediaTek Dimensity 9000 managed to score a score of 1,273 for single-core and 4,324 for multi-core. For comparison, the initial scores of the powered Samsung Galaxy S22 Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 scored 1219 each (single-core) and 3,154 (multi-core).

This is due on paper Dimensity 9000 has a Cortex-X2 main core with speed clock up to 3.05GHz, three Cortex-A710 mid-cores with clock up to 2.85GHz, and three Cortex-A510 power-efficient cores running at clock up to 1.8GHz.

For comparison, on Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 there is a core Cortex-X2 with speed clock up to 3.0GHz, three Cortex-A710 mid-cores with clock up to 2.5GHz, and three Cortex-A510 power-efficient cores running at clock up to 1.8GHz.

On the GPU test, Dimensity 9000 can reach 238fps on the GFXBench v3.0 Manhattan platform, lower than 267fps on Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 which beats Apple’s A15 Bionic. As of version 3.1, Dimensity 9000 scored 162fps, while Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 scored 176fps.

On test Benchmark this beginning, it can be concluded that for now Dimensity 9000 from MediaTek can beat Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in terms of CPU, however Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 still superior in terms of GPU.
