MediaTek has just announced a new processor called Dimensity 6300. This processor is a member of the Dimensity 6000 series and one of the company’s cheapest processors.

However, there are several improvements to this chip. In particular, its GPU is more than 50% faster than the Dimensity 6100+ announced last year. Its CPU is up to 10% faster than the Dimensity 6100+.
This chip is equipped with an advanced 5G modem that supports the 3GPP Release 16 standard with up to 140MHz 2CC 5G Carrier Aggregation. It also has MediaTek UltraSave 3.0+ technology for power saving.
It is a 6nm octa-core chip
This is an octa-core processor and has two large Arm Cortex-A76 cores. They work at a frequency of 2.4 GHz. MediaTek also included six ARM Cortex-A55 efficiency cores running at 2GHz. It’s also worth noting that this is a 6nm chip.
It supports LPDDR4X RAM up to 2133 MHz and UFS 2.2 flash memory (2 layers). Includes support for cameras up to 108 megapixels. This chip also supports displays with resolutions up to 2520 x 1080 at 120Hz.
The graphics chip I mentioned earlier is the Army Mali-G57 MC2. The Dimensity 6300 also has integrated Wi-Fi 5 Dual-Band (a / b / g / n / ac). Bluetooth 5.2 support is also introduced here.
This chip is designed for budget devices
All in all, it’s not exactly a fancy chip, but it seems perfect for budget phones. It’s also one of the most affordable chips in MediaTek’s lineup right now. That alone might attract some customers.
The Realme C65 5G phone seems to be the first phone to have this chip. This phone is expected to arrive in India later this month. It remains to be seen which other companies are interested in the Dimension 6300. We could see several other budget Android phones powered by this chip.
