After their unsuccessful start to the season in the 2nd Bundesliga, the Würzburger Kickers are apparently already parting with their coach Marco Antwerp. The Main-Post reported that first. Accordingly, the 49-year-old’s release will be officially announced on Monday. Antwerp was only installed at the end of September as the successor to the fired promotion coach Michael Schiele.
Würzburg is bottom of the table with one point from seven games, on Friday the Mainfranken lost 4-1 at 1. FC Heidenheim. The first candidate to succeed Antwerp is to be Bernhard Trares, who was last on the sidelines at third division Waldhof Mannheim.
