“Optibet” Premier League club “Valmiera” can receive 2.85 million euros for the transfer of Nigerian footballer Tolu Arokodare, informs the portal “Delphi”, but later the amount may become even higher.
The media has information that Arokodare was rented for 550 thousand to the German Bundesliga club “Koln”. The Cologne Club also has the right to buy him for 2.3 million euros.
Also, a Nigerian does not have to reach a certain statistic to meet this amount. The Valmiera club will also receive 15% of the next transfer if “Koln” later sells Arokodari to another club.
Playing with numbers – if Arokodare shows a high-quality performance in Germany and the Cologne club will later sell him for, for example, 10 million euros, Valmiera will get another 1.5 million for it. If Tolu could theoretically be sold for 20 million, then 3 million would enter the Valmiera account.
The footballer joined the Valmiera team in 2019. The Nigerian spent his second season in Latvia quite impressively, marking 15 goals in 16 matches and becoming the best sniper in the Optibet Premier League.
The footballer was initially interested in the Belgian club “Anderlecht” in Brussels, which was ready to pay 1.5 million for the transfer, but “Valmiera” rejected the offer. Later, Arokodare moved to the German Bundesliga, becoming the first footballer to move from Latvia to the German top league.
Tolu bundeslīga has gone through two matches this season – both on substitution. In the first duel, he played 14 minutes against Bielefeld’s Arminia, but later spent 13 minutes on Mönchengladbach’s Borussia. He has not yet revealed the goal or assists account in the Bundesliga.
