Nikkei Asia magazine reported that Apple Inc. will produce MacBooks in Vietnam next year
Apple will move some of its production from China to Vietnam. Amid US-China trade tensions and supply chain issues in China due to lockdown measures to curb the spread of COVID-19.
Nikkei Asia reported that Foxcon could begin MacBook production in Vietnam as early as May 2023. Apple reportedly held talks in August to move production of Apple Watches, MacBooks and HomePods to Vietnam.
The report states that Apple produces 20-24 million MacBooks a year.
