Media Oeuvre Award for André van Duin

André van Duin has received the Media Oeuvre Award. The pedigree comedian got the statuette in the TV program Time for Max. The award is an initiative of Spreek Buis.nl, a professional platform for media professionals.

Friend and colleague Ron Brandsteder surprised Van Duin with the prize in the broadcast. “How nice”, responded Van Duin. “How wonderful, I had never heard of it.”

Gunfactor

The jury praises André van Duin for his versatile, cross-generational career that spans more than half a century. “He is a great folk comedian, but has also more than earned his stripes as a revue artist, singer, actor, presenter and radio and television maker,” says the report, quoting Brandsteder.

“I want to add a personal word to it,” said Brandsteder. “I think you will also receive the prize because you have a pleasant character. Everyone loves you. You are a loyal friend, you will never say anything bad about a colleague and you are loved by everyone. You have the good factor.”
