Elderly couple cheated out of 110,000 euros

Yesterday, unknown persons cheated an elderly couple out of 110,000 euros.
The seniors first received a call from someone claiming to be a police officer. The man told them that there were thieves in the area and that they needed to protect their savings. He would send an investigator to them.
A short time later, a supposed police officer showed up at the door of the couple’s apartment. The elderly couple let the man in and showed him the savings they had collected. At an opportune moment, the perpetrator stole the approximately 110,000 euros and fled the apartment.
The police advise:
Ask for the name, hang up, call your local police on 110 and explain the situation!
Do not give any information about your financial situation or other sensitive data to unknown persons!
Do not open the door to strangers!
Involve someone you trust!
Never hand over money or valuables to unknown persons, alleged employees of the police, public prosecutors, courts or financial institutions!
If you have been the victim of such a call, contact the police and file a report! (ml)
22-year-old robbed – two suspects arrested

Yesterday afternoon, a man (22) was robbed by unknown persons in a parking lot on Ludwig-Renn-Allee.
The unknown assailants sprayed the 22-year-old with tear gas and threatened him with a knife. Shortly afterwards, they stole his wallet. Alerted police officers were able to arrest two suspects in the immediate vicinity. They are two Syrians aged 21 and 22. The investigation into their accomplices is ongoing. (ml)
Break-in at event building

Last weekend, unknown persons broke into an event building.
The perpetrators smashed a window and entered the rooms. They then searched them and stole a computer, a router and around 2,000 euros in cash. The amount of material damage is not yet known. (ml)
Burglars came away empty-handed

Location: Dresden-Wilsdruffer Vorstadt
Yesterday, unknown persons gained access to the basement of a shop on Hertha-Lindner-Straße. There they forced open a safe, but it was empty. According to an initial survey, nothing was stolen. The material damage amounts to around 1,000 euros. (ml)
Two cars broken into

Yesterday afternoon, unknown persons smashed a side window of a BMW on Bräuergasse and stole a backpack from the car. The total damage amounts to around 900 euros.

Unknown persons broke into a Range Rover Sport on the street An der Herzogin Garten. In this case too, the perpetrators smashed a side window. They then stole a bag with personal items from the interior. Final details of the damage are not yet available. (ml)
Moped stolen

In the past few days, unknown persons stole a moped from Hertzstrasse. The grey Generic Explorer Speed 50 moped was parked in front of a residential building. It is worth around 1,000 euros. (lr)
Missing person back

The missing 50-year-old from Dresden-Löbtau is back (see public search notice no. 40/24 of September 4, 2024).
The man has since come forward. He was in another state for the past few days and has now returned unharmed. There is no suspicion of a crime. (lr)
Motorcyclist seriously injured – witnesses sought

A motorcyclist (41) suffered serious injuries in an accident on Salzburger Straße. The police are looking for witnesses.
A driver was driving on Salzburger Strasse in the direction of Österreicher Strasse. As he drove through a narrowing of the road at Basedowstrasse, the driver of an oncoming car braked hard to avoid a collision. The 41-year-old on a Suzuki behind this car also braked, fell and hit the car. He was seriously injured and was taken to hospital. The motorcycle suffered material damage amounting to around 1,000 euros.
The police are looking for witnesses to the accident and in particular the unknown drivers. The Dresden Police Department is accepting information on (0351) 483 22 33. (uh)

Trespassing – man arrested

During the night of Tuesday, police arrested a man (35) who was illegally staying in a building on Bahnhofstrasse.
The 35-year-old had entered the building through a window, where he was found by alerted officers. They arrested him and filed a complaint against the German for trespassing. (lr)
Dangerous overtaking maneuver

A man (34) must answer for endangering road traffic.
The 34-year-old was driving a Nissan Almera on the B 98 when he overtook a Scania truck in a no-overtaking zone. The driver of the truck and the driver of an oncoming patrol car had to brake to avoid a collision. The police turned around, checked the 34-year-old Romanian and filed the appropriate report. (kj)
Wheelchair user slightly injured in accident

In an accident between a cyclist (16) and a wheelchair user (82), the 82-year-old suffered minor injuries.
The senior citizen drove from Gerberdamm to the left into a parking lot. The 16-year-old, who drove from the parking lot onto Gerberdamm, had to swerve and got a pedal stuck on the 82-year-old’s leg. He was taken to hospital. Damage of around 500 euros was caused. (kj)
Moped illegal entsorgt

Unknown persons have dumped a moped at the Nauleis dam.
The perpetrators placed the Piaggio two-wheeler in a bush on the banks of the reservoir. Oil and petrol leaked from the moped and contaminated the ground. The police are investigating the environmental crime. (kj)
Remote control for loading crane stolen

Unknown persons broke into a Mercedes Atego truck on Königsbrücker Straße and stole a remote control for the loading crane. The perpetrators smashed a window and stole the remote control, worth around 5,000 euros. They caused property damage of around 1,000 euros. (kj)
Burglary in allotment garden

In the past few days, unknown persons broke into a garden house on Dimmelgasse. The perpetrators forced open the door of the house and stole around 20 empty bottles. The material damage amounts to around 300 euros. (lr)
Car slipped into ditch

A man (33) lost control of his car on the Triebischtalstraße and slid into the ditch.
The 33-year-old was driving an Opel Corsa on the S 83 towards Robschütz. Shortly after the junction with the K 8031, the man lost control of the car on a wet road. The Opel spun, collided with a traffic sign and a tree and came to rest in the ditch. The driver was uninjured. The damage amounted to around 3,600 euros. (kj)
Accidentally engaged reverse gear – accident

On Monday afternoon, an accident caused damage of around 10,000 euros because the vehicle had been mistakenly put into reverse gear.
A Mercedes E-Class (driver 79) was parked on Meißner Straße about 20 meters before the roundabout on Nach der Schiffsmühle street due to traffic. When the 79-year-old drove off, she had put the car in reverse and drove into a Volvo XC60 (driver 62). No one was injured. (kj)

An accident on the B 98 caused damage of around 7,500 euros.
A MAN truck (driver 56) came from Lampertswalde and drove into the Mühlbacher Straße/B 98 roundabout. The truck collided with a VW Passat (driver 65) that was traveling from Schönfeld to Quersa. No one was injured. (kj)
Driving under the influence of alcohol

On Monday evening, police officers stopped a van driver (36) on Großenhainer Straße who was driving under the influence of alcohol.
The 36-year-old was driving a VW Crafter. A breathalyzer test showed a blood alcohol level of around 1 per mille. The officers prohibited him from driving any further and filed a report. (lr)

Two slightly injured in accident

On Monday, two women (36, 47) were slightly injured in an accident on the main road.
The 47-year-old drove a Renault Talisman out of an exit onto the street and collided with an Opel Corsa in which the 36-year-old was driving towards the city center. The damage was estimated at around 1,300 euros. (lr)
Strayed from the road

On Tuesday, a Ford Ranger (driver 63) veered off the S 176.
The 63-year-old was travelling between Liebstadt and Pirna. He lost control of the car, veered off the road to the right and drove down a slope. The Ford came to a stop at a tree. The driver was uninjured. The damage amounted to around 7,000 euros. (lr)
Ford crashed into wall and mast

Location: Neustadt in Saxony
A Ford Fiesta (driver 45) left the S 159 and crashed into a wall.
The 45-year-old was driving the Ford between Langburkersdorf and Neustadt in Saxony. In a right-hand bend, he veered off the road to the right and crashed into the wall and a lamp post. The force of the impact caused the car to spin and come to a stop on the sidewalk. There were no injuries. The material damage amounts to around 5,000 euros. (uh)

The 45-year-old drove her Opel sideways into the sign that was on a traffic island at the level of Saidaer Straße on a wet road. The damage to property amounted to around 4,000 euros. There were no injuries. (uh)
