A stranger tried to cheat a Dresden woman (49) on the phone.
The woman offered the 49-year-old a profit of 49,000 euros last Friday. Yesterday the caller answered again and asked in return for the payout of the prize 1,000 euros in the form of voucher cards. The 49-year-old did not get involved and turned to the police. There was no financial loss. (sg)

A stranger tried to cheat a Meissner (84) on the phone yesterday afternoon.
The perpetrator pretended to be the senior’s granddaughter and asked for 40,000 euros to buy a property. The 84-year-old did not get involved and there was no financial loss. (sg)
Roof fire

Yesterday evening there was a fire in an apartment building on Auenwaldstrasse.
The fire broke out in the roof structure of the house and caused property damage at an as yet unknown height. Nobody got hurt. The criminal police have started investigations into the cause of the fire. (sg)

Cyclists injured in traffic accident

On Monday afternoon, a cyclist (28) was injured in a traffic accident on the main road.
The driver (55) of an Audi A6 wanted to turn right from Fährstraße onto the main road. In doing so, he recorded the 28-year-old’s bicycle coming from the direction of Sachsenbrücke. The cyclist fell and was slightly injured. There was property damage of around 800 euros. (sg)
Child injured in traffic accident – call for witnesses

Location: Freital, OT Niederhäslich
On Sunday afternoon, a 12-year-old cyclist was slightly injured in an accident on Poisentalstrasse.
The boy was riding a bicycle on Poisentalstrasse in the direction of Freital. Shortly before entering the village, he was overtaken by a Peugeot (driver 58). The boy tried to turn left and crashed into the car. He fell and was easily injured. The 58-year-old stopped briefly, but those involved did not exchange any personal details.
The police are investigating negligent bodily harm and an accident escape.
The traffic police are looking for witnesses who can provide information about the course of the accident. In particular, a BMW driver and a motorcyclist could have seen the accident. Collision while driving out

On Monday afternoon, a Renault Clio (driver 25) and a Subaru XV (driver 76) collided on Baudenweg.
The 25-year-old drove backwards from an exit and collided with the Subaru. Nobody got hurt. The cars suffered property damage totaling around 5,000 euros. (sg)
