Stops damaged – two suspects found

The Dresden police are investigating a youth (15) and a man (20) for damaging property.
Witnesses had alerted the police because two initially unknown people at Strehlener Platz destroyed glass panes at several stops. Police officers located the duo nearby. The two Germans had apparently destroyed various panes of glass around Strehlener Platz, causing property damage of around 8,000 euros.
The police officers prepared the relevant reports and handed the youth over to his mother. (sg)
Driver hit pedestrian and drove away

A driver hit a pedestrian (25) on the corner of Heinrich-Greif-Strasse and Zellescher Weg and drove away. The woman was slightly injured.
The 25-year-old was walking on the sidewalk of the Zellesche Weg in the direction of Fritz-Foerster-Platz. As she was crossing Heinrich-Greif-Strasse, the stranger hit her with a Ford Focus. After the accident, he turned right onto Zellesche Weg and drove away. The 25-year-old had her injuries treated on an outpatient basis. (uh)

Unknown people tried to cheat a Dresdener (83) on the phone on Wednesday afternoon.
The perpetrators promised the 83-year-old 39,000 euros from an alleged competition. In return, the man should pay 900 euros in advance. He refused and contacted the police. (sg)

Unknown persons broke into two offices on Grossenhainer Strasse.
The perpetrators pried open an entrance door to the building and an access door to the offices. Then they searched the room. Whether they stole anything is the subject of the investigation. Information on property damage is not yet available. (uh)

Traffic accident – driver injured

Yesterday afternoon, a driver (54) was injured in a traffic accident on the B 182.
The man was driving a Renault Laguna between Schirmenitz and Strehla and left the roadway to the right for reasons that have not yet been clarified. He then crashed his car into a bridge railing. The 54-year-old suffered injuries and required medical attention. The property damage adds up to around 35,000 euros.
When the accident was recorded, the police conducted a drug test on the man. He reacted positively to amphetamines. The German is now being investigated for endangering road traffic. (ml)
Motorcyclist slightly injured in accident

On the B 98, the driver (43) of a Dacia Duster hit a moped driver (18). The 18-year-old suffered minor injuries.
The 43-year-old was driving the Dacia between Sacka and Thiendorf. Shortly before the junction with the Bergstrasse, he wanted to overtake the 18-year-old in a Simson S 51. However, since he wanted to turn left onto Bergstrasse, the collision ensued. There was property damage totaling around 1,500 euros. (uh)

Officers from the Meissen police station stopped a drunk cyclist (34) on Meißner Strasse on Wednesday.
An alcohol test on the 34-year-old showed a value of around 1.7 per mille. The police officers arranged for blood to be taken and filed a complaint against the German for drunk driving. (sg)

Yesterday morning, an unknown driver damaged a VW Tiguan in a parking lot on Dresdner Strasse. The perpetrator drove away from the scene of the accident without permission. What remained was property damage of around 100 euros. (ml)

Cigarette vending machine blown up – witness call

Unknown persons blew up a cigarette vending machine on Am Bad street.
Apparently, the perpetrators detonated pyrotechnics in the ejection chute of the machine and caused property damage of around 5,000 euros. Information about the stolen goods is not yet available.

Man had cannabis in his pocket

Police officers from the Pirna district are investigating a man (39) for violating the Narcotics Act.
The patrol officers checked the 39-year-old on Thursday night on Dresdner Strasse. He had some cannabis with him. When checking the German, it also turned out that there was an arrest warrant against him. The police therefore took him to a correctional facility. (uh)
20-year-old on the road with an e-scooter without an insurance license plate

Police officers from the Pirna district stopped a woman (20) who was traveling on an e-scooter without an insurance license plate.
The 20-year-old caught the attention of the patrol officers because she was driving the electric scooter contrary to the one-way street regulations on Grohmannstrasse. The police officers stopped the 20-year-old German, noticed the missing license plate and filed a complaint for violating the compulsory insurance law. (uh)
