Two arrest warrants executed
Officers from the Iuventus Special Commission executed two arrest warrants during the week.
These were directed against an 18-year-old Chechen and a 19-year-old Afghan. The two men are strongly suspected of having committed three robbery crimes together. In mid-July, they stole a cell phone from a 16-year-old on Magdeburger Strasse.
The two suspects were arrested in Dresden and brought before an investigating judge. He ordered both of them to be taken into custody. The men have since been taken to a correctional facility. At the same time, the investigations by Soko Iuventus are ongoing. (ml)
Fire in an empty office complex – suspects identified

On Thursday, an empty office complex on Caspar-David-Friedrich-Straße burned. The police have arrested two suspects (16, 17).
Initially unknown people set the building on fire and fled. Alerted firefighters extinguished the fire. No people were hurt. The amount of material damage cannot currently be quantified. Caspar-David-Friedrich-Straße had to be temporarily closed to extinguish the fire.
Investigations led to the 16-year-old and the 17-year-old German on Thursday. They now have to answer on suspicion of arson. The investigation is ongoing. As part of this, fire investigators were also deployed. (kj)
Traffic accident – call for witnesses

On Thursday night, a pedestrian (50) was seriously injured in a traffic accident on St.-Petersburger-Straße.
The 50-year-old crossed St.-Petersburger-Strasse at a pedestrian crossing. He was hit by a Volvo V60 (driver 28) that was heading towards the main train station. The 50-year-old suffered serious injuries as a result of the impact and was taken to a Dresden hospital.

Cars broken into

Unknown people have broken into eight cars in the past few days, primarily in the west of Dresden.
The perpetrators smashed side windows of vehicles on Berliner Strasse, Pieschener Allee, Fröbelstrasse and Tannenstrasse, among others, and stole a laptop, tools, a wallet and other items with an as yet unknown total value. The material damage amounts to several thousand euros. (lr)
Broken into house

Unknown people broke into a house on Winterbergstrasse on Thursday.
The perpetrators pried open a window in the house. They also broke a window. They got into the house and stole some cash from a wallet. The material damage amounts to around 2,500 euros. (lr)

Man chased dog at pedestrian

The criminal police are currently investigating a German (20) for grievous bodily harm.
According to previous investigations, a 41-year-old was walking on the Elbe cycle path last night. At the level of the railway bridge he wanted to overtake a man with a dog. The animal suddenly attacked him. When the pedestrian spoke to the owner (20), he set the Cane Corso mix on the 41-year-old again. The dog then bit the pedestrian and both fell to the ground. In this situation, the 20-year-old also hit the man with a telescopic stick.
The 41-year-old suffered serious injuries and had to be taken to hospital. Alerted police officers were able to catch the suspect a short time later. The man’s dog was seized.
The criminal investigations are ongoing. (ml)
Man seriously injured in accident

On Thursday morning, a VW Transporter (driver 27) left the S 81 and overturned.
The man was traveling between Friedewald and Auer. He lost control of the transporter. The car tipped onto its side and went off the road.
The driver was seriously injured. The material damage is around 5,000 euros. (fk)
Attempted fraud – promise of profit

On Tuesday, unknown people tried to defraud a woman (90).
The perpetrators promised the 90-year-old a profit of 30,000 euros over the phone. In order to get this amount paid out, she should get voucher cards worth 900 euros. The woman refused to accept it and contacted the police. There was no financial loss. (fk)
Broken into VW

Location: Radebeul
Unknown people broke into a VW on Bennostrasse.
The perpetrators opened a door on the driver’s side in an unknown manner and searched the interior. They stole, among other things, a laptop, a camera, a smartphone and a wallet with various debit cards.
Theft damage amounted to around 2,600 euros. There was no visible damage to the vehicle. (fk)
Broken into Skoda

Unknown people broke into a Skoda Superb on Bahnhofstrasse.
The perpetrators smashed the passenger window of the car and searched the glove compartment. Apparently they didn’t steal anything. The damage to the vehicle amounts to around 500 euros. (fk)
E-bikes stolen from sheds

On Thursday night, unknown people stole two e-bikes from a shed in a residential area near Meißner Berg Street.
The perpetrators pried open the door and stole the bicycles worth around 4,000 euros. The material damage amounts to around 150 euros. (fk)
Five cars damaged

Unknown people damaged five cars on Breite Straße in Coswig.
The cars had damage to their windshields and roof windows, which were apparently caused by stones. An exact amount of property damage has not yet been determined. (fk)
Electric fence device stolen

Unknown people stole an electric fence device. The perpetrators dismantled the device that provided the power supply on Martin-Scheumann-Straße and took it with them. The damage is estimated at around 800 euros. (kj)
Tires slashed

Unknown people damaged two tires of a Citroen Berlingo in a parking lot on Berliner Straße.
According to initial investigations, the perpetrators slashed the tires on the left side of the vehicle. There was damage of around 200 euros. (lr)
Lost control of quad

On Thursday evening, a man (56) lost control of a quad bike. This crashed into an Iveco transporter.
The 56-year-old started the engine of the Her Chee quad on Kurt-Hein-Straße. He lost control of the machine, which drove off and crashed into the parked van. The damage was estimated at around 1,500 euros. (kj)

Motorcyclist seriously injured

On Thursday, a motorcyclist (30) was injured in an accident on Steinbacher Weg.
The 30-year-old was heading towards the Road of Peace on a Yamaha YZF690. She lost control of the two-wheeler, fell and was seriously injured. The damage to the motorcycle amounts to around 3,000 euros. (lr)
Motorcyclist injured in accident – witnesses wanted

On Wednesday, a motorcyclist (64) was slightly injured in an accident on Dresdner Straße. The police are looking for witnesses.
The 64-year-old was driving a Honda in the left lane towards Königstein. A car braked in the right lane. Three moped drivers who were driving behind him swerved into the left lane. As a result, a VW Passat had to brake sharply in front of the 64-year-old. He, in turn, swerved to the left and fell. The moped drivers drove on.
The police are looking for witnesses who can provide information about the accident, particularly the moped driver. The Dresden Police Department will receive information on (0351) 483 22 33. (lr)

Unknown people stole car parts from two Audis on Friday night.
The perpetrators removed covers and a distance sensor from the bumper of an Audi A5 on Herderstrasse. They stole the mirror glasses and distance sensors from an Audi A6 on Goethestrasse. Information about the damage is not yet available. (lr)
Bumped into railing
