Cyclist injured

On Wednesday morning, a cyclist (33) was slightly injured in an accident on Winterbergstrasse.
The 33-year-old was travelling on Winterbergstrasse in the direction of An der Rennbahn. A 40-year-old woman was driving a Seat on Gohrischstrasse and wanted to turn left. A collision occurred in which the cyclist was injured. The amount of material damage has not yet been quantified. (lr)

During the night of Wednesday, unknown persons damaged a Mercedes on Jacob-Winter-Platz.
The perpetrators kicked off the car’s exterior mirrors and smashed the rear window. They caused damage amounting to around 1,200 euros. The police are investigating for property damage. (lr)
Attempted break-in at office

Location: Dresden-Niedersedlitz
Unknown persons attempted to break into an office on Lockwitztalstrasse.
The perpetrators entered an office building by unknown means. They damaged the access door to an office, but were unable to open the door. The damage to property is not yet known. (lr)

Cyclist and child hit

On Wednesday, a cyclist (28) who had a child (3) in a child seat with her was hit by a car on Meißner Straße.
A 62-year-old was driving a VW Touran on Meißner Strasse in the direction of Dresden. He turned left at Maxim-Gorki-Strasse. This resulted in a collision with the cyclist who was coming towards him on Meißner Strasse. She fell and was slightly injured, as was the three-year-old. The material damage amounts to around 3,000 euros. (lr)
Side window smashed

Unknown persons have damaged an Audi A4 on Köhlerstrasse. The perpetrators smashed a side window of the car, but according to initial reports they did not steal anything. The amount of damage has not yet been quantified. (lr)

A cyclist (80) was slightly injured in an accident on Dresdner Straße on Wednesday afternoon.
The 80-year-old was walking towards Dresden. A 48-year-old drove a Mazda 6 from a parking lot exit onto Dresdner Straße. This resulted in a collision with the cyclist coming from the right. The material damage amounts to around 1,500 euros. (lr)
Car broken into

Location: Sebnitz, OT Hinterhermsdorf
Unknown persons broke into a VW Caddy on Wednesday night.
The perpetrators forced open the lock on the driver’s door and searched the interior. They also destroyed the ignition lock. However, they were unable to start the car. It is not yet known whether they stole anything from the VW. The amount of material damage has not yet been quantified. (lr)
Hit and run – witnesses wanted

Location: Stolpen, OT Langenwolmsdorf
After a traffic accident at the intersection of Neustädter Landstraße/Polenztalstraße, an unknown blue car collided with a VW Up! that was involved in the accident and then drove on in the direction of Neustadt i.Sa. (see media information no. 450/24 dated August 7, 2024).
The police are investigating the hit-and-run and are looking for witnesses who can provide information about the accident, particularly the blue car and the driver. The Dresden Police Department is accepting information on (0351) 483 22 33. (lr)
