Media Ignores Illegal Migrant Connection in Brutal Murder of Laken Riley

Instead of focusing on the illegal migrant connection, the AP chose to divert attention and make the story about the fears of “solo female athletes.” They cited recommendations for female runners to carry pepper spray or a whistle and to run during daylight hours or with a friend. This approach is dangerously close to victim-blaming, as it shifts the focus away from the real problem at hand.
NBC also downplayed the fact that Ibarra is an illegal migrant. They buried this crucial detail in the 37th paragraph of their Sunday story on the murder. It is disheartening to see left-leaning media outlets carrying water for President Biden and his open-border policies. This biased reporting only serves to further obscure the truth and prevent meaningful discussions on immigration reform.
Jose Antonio Ibarra, originally from Venezuela, entered the country illegally in September 2022 near El Paso. He was apprehended by ICE but was eventually released. Ibarra, along with his wife, whom he married to exploit the Biden asylum system, and her child, were then transported to New York City. There, they enjoyed taxpayer-funded benefits while Ibarra allegedly worked illegally in food delivery.
In 2023, Ibarra was arrested for carrying a 5-year-old child on his scooter without a helmet. Shockingly, the NYPD let him slip away, and ICE claims they did not have time to issue a detainer. This series of events highlights a troubling pattern of Ibarra breaking the law with impunity.
Now, a promising young woman, Laken Riley, has been brutally murdered, and only after this tragedy has occurred is Ibarra finally in custody. The tragic loss of Riley’s life is a direct result of the failed immigration policies of the Biden administration.
The influx of migrants across the southern US border has had devastating consequences. It has overwhelmed small towns in the region and impacted big cities across the nation. The unchecked flow of migrants has created a lucrative market for narco cartels through human trafficking and the distribution of fentanyl.
