Media: Facebook in the throat of Apple with new product

Facebook plans to launch one of its first physical technology products.

In recent months, there has been a bad mood in Silicon Valley among technology giants Facebook and Apple after the latter introduced an Iphone update that allows Apple customers stop tracking their behavior online.

The new privacy move could cost billions of dollars for Facebook, which makes a living by selling information to commercial players. Apple’s revenue comes largely from sales of the Macbook, Iphone and AppleWatch.

Now there are things that suggest Facebook will strike back by giving Apple a new competitor in the smartwatch market: According to The Verge Facebook is working on a new product that will compete directly with Apple Watch, and will have spent over a billion dollars on the project.

The product will offer several new functions that current players in the market cannot offer. The smartwatch will, among other things, have a detachable screen with two cameras. Customers should be able to take photos and film videos from the watch and upload them directly to Facebook and Instagram.

The watch will not need to be connected to the mobile phone to work. They are currently collaborating with wireless providers to ensure that feature. In the long run, Facebook plans that the watch can replace the mobile phone. They will do this using advanced AR technology.

The tech giant plans to launch the product in 2022. Initially, they will deliver a six-digit number of products. The sources estimate that the price will be around $ 400 in the first place.
