With the presence of 20 Brazilian journalists, a guided tour of the CONMEBOL Referee Training Center (CETA) was held on Tuesday 10th.
During the tour, the journalists received detailed information on the work of the Referee Commission and participated in a brief training session on the use of the Video Assistance Referee System (VAR).
Journalists had the opportunity to experience how the VOR works, through simulations of plays, such as offside clips, and to clarify their doubts about refereeing procedures from the booth.
The Technical Manager of Arbitration, Carlos Astroza, answered questions and doubts during a round of questions.
In addition, the journalists visited the renovated CONMEBOL Museum, prior to the qualifying match between Paraguay and Brazil to which they were assigned.
In line with its Open Doors premise, this time with the visit of the Brazilian media, CONMEBOL continues to promote training in refereeing technology and show its benefits for sports justice, one of the strategic pillars of the institution.
