Ph:DR: Opposite, the members of the new office;
Gathered in General Assembly, the members of the Network of Economic Journalists of Benin (Ré-JEB), unanimously elected Aline A. ASSANKPON H, the economic and development journalist, the Coordinator of the Network. It was Friday, May 05, 2023 at the Thomas Mègnassan Media House in Cotonou. The new Coordinator with her team has a transitional period of 18 months to relaunch the activities of the Network.
Created in 1996, the Network of Economic Journalists of Benin (Ré-JEB) has undeniably made its way. The only network dealing solely with economic and development issues in its time, the Ré-JEB has built the capacities of journalists from the public and private sectors working in national and international institutions.
Entered into lethargy for a few years, some former members and those of the outgoing mandate went to the General Assembly on Friday, May 05, 2023 at the Maison des Médias Thomas Mègnassan in Cotonou to relaunch the activities of the Network.
The objective of this elective General Assembly being to renew the bodies of the Network; proceed with the proofreading of the old texts and their formalization in accordance with the current reform in Benin and the relaunch of the activities of the network.
After the presentation and adoption of the various reports, in particular: moral, activities and financial, the outgoing office resigned to make way for a presidium composed of three members including the former Network Coordinator, Abel Gbètoénonmon, who chaired and led the election of new officers.
Aline Assankpon was unanimously elected by the members present to lead the executive office of the Network for a transitional period of 18 months (from May 05, 2023 to November 05, 2024) in order to relaunch the activities of the network.
By thanking all her sisters and brothers, she invites them all to work together to meet the challenge of this noble mission. “The elected Board is aware of the challenge that awaits it, but I would like to count on all the members of the Network, without exception, to succeed in this mission which is ours” she said after the installation of the new team.
The new Executive Bureau of the JEB-Network is as follows:
Coordinator : Madame Agathe Aline ASSANKPON H.
Deputy Coordinator : Mr Casimir KPEDJO
General secretary : Mr Fortune SOSSA
General Treasurer : Monsieur Wilfrid MONNOU
Organization Manager : Mrs. Marie-Louise Félicité BIDIAS.
The new Statutory Auditors are:
- Mr Jonas GBEFFO
- Mr Olivier ALLOTCHEME.
