Media Behavior Should Not Get Clicks or Likes

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – President Joko Widodo said that all technology platforms must support change and transformation of the nation’s progress.

Because, according to Jokowi, role media digital today is huge. He also hopes that the media is not only there to gain numbers, be it the number of clicks or like.

“Supposedly, media behavior should not be controlled to gain clicks and accumulate numbers like, but it should be encouraged to accumulate contributions to humanity and the interests of the nation, “said Jokowi deeply MPR Annual Session which was held Friday (14/8/2020).

Jokowi understands that democracy does guarantee freedom. However, he considered that freedom should still respect the rights of others.

In particular, according to the Head of State, no one should impose his own will.

“No one should feel the most religious themselves. No one should feel the most Pancasila itself. All those who feel the most correct and impose their will are usually not true,” he said.

Therefore, Jokowi stated, the ideology and noble values ​​of the nation should not be exchanged by anything, including for the sake of economic progress.
