Media advisory – Official opening of Montreal’s very first organic materials processing center

MONTREAL, Oct. 18, 2024 /CNW/ – The Mayor of Montreal, Valérie Plante, invites representatives of the media to the official opening of Montreal’s first organic materials processing center (CTMO), in the presence of the Minister of the Environment, the Fight against climate change, Wildlife and Parks of Quebec, Benoit Charette, of the person responsible for ecological transition and the environment on the executive committee of the City of Montreal, Marie-Andrée Mauger , and the mayor of the borough of Saint-Laurent, Alan De Sousa. They will be accompanied for the occasion by the President and CEO of Veolia North America, Frédéric Van Heems, and the Director General of the Quebec Common Front for Ecological Waste Management, Karel Ménard.

The press conference will be followed by a technical visit for the media. Wearing boots with reinforced toes, a bib and a helmet are mandatory to participate in this visit.

Members of the media must arrive with their own safety equipment.
