The figure was confirmed today by the Ministry of Health of Medellín.
This weekend, the city received 10,000 vaccines from Pfizer for the third dose application. This was confirmed by Andree Uribe, Secretary of Health of Medellín, who clarified that these will be destined for people over 70 years of age and people with comorbidities.
The office explained that this process will involve scheduling by the Service Provider Institutions (IPS), which will be in charge of setting the application points and distributing the doses. These, according to projected calculations, could be applied in three days.
In addition to the points set by the IPS, vaccination in the city is advancing with different strategies, said Secretary Uribe. “We have 63 active points providing the vaccination service, but we also have strategies in the territory: we continue in neighborhoods and restaurants in the 70 corridor and Lleras Park.”
