Mayor of Medan, Bobby Afif Nasution, encouraging police officers to be firm in dealing with robbery. Supported when robbers are shot dead.
“Bugs and criminals certainly have no place in Medan. Their actions are troubling. It is right for the authorities to act decisively because we want peace and security in Medan,” said Bobby Nasution in his statement, Tuesday (11/7/2023).
President Jokowi’s son-in-law gave his appreciation to the Kapolrestabes Medan Kombes Valentino Alfa Tatareda. Bobby hopes that with this firm action, the thieves will be deterred.
“I appreciate the Kapolrestabes Medan and its ranks. Hopefully the strictness of the officers will deter the perpetrators of sadistic thieves,” he said.
Previously, Bobby had also tweeted on his Twitter account on July 8, 2023. Bobby stated that the crime of robbery and motorcycle gangs had disturbed the community.
“For this reason, I hope the police will be more assertive in taking action against the perpetrators in the field, even if they have to be shot dead,” said Bobby.
It is known that a gang of armed robbers had robbed Alfamart employees and one of the salons in Medan City was arrested. The police shot dead one of the perpetrators because he resisted when he was about to be arrested.
The perpetrator who was shot dead was named Bima Bastian. He died after being shot in the chest.
