A car driver crashes head-on into oncoming traffic on the L 42 and then flees on foot.

After a hit-and-run in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district, the police have now identified the suspected driver. According to initial findings, a car rammed another car in oncoming traffic between Wittenburg and Dreilützow on Wednesday evening. The 42-year-old driver was slightly injured in the accident. The alleged perpetrator fled on foot, according to the police. Since there was blood on the airbag in the car involved in the accident, the police could not rule out that the driver had been seriously injured. In the meantime, the man called the police and said that he was fine. The police are now investigating the 48-year-old driver for hit-and-run and negligent bodily harm. Both cars were badly damaged in the accident and are no longer drivable. The damage is estimated at around 40,000 euros.
