Mecklenburg County employees are scheduled to return to work fully in person beginning November 1, due to the decline in all metrics by COVID-19.
As of October 12, 407 COVID-19 cases were reported among staff between March 2020 and October 2021, less than 10% of the employee population over the 18-month period.
FOLLOW GUIDELINES
To help keep employees and the public safe, county employees will need to do the following:
* All county employees are required to wear face covers inside all county buildings, regardless of vaccination status.
* People in your office or in a paneled cubicle do not have to wear a face shield when alone. Employees are also expected to cover their faces if someone walks into their office or cubicle.
* Employees must wear face covers outdoors on county property if they are unable to socially distance themselves.
* The county will continue with the COVID-19 testing and vaccination verification program.
* All employees are required to complete the daily test to ensure their colleagues and everyone around them are safe from the spread of COVID-19 in the workplace.
In addition to the listed requirements, new hires will need to be vaccinated as part of the terms of employment with Mecklenburg County.
The county continues to require proof of vaccination or testing of all current employees in its ongoing effort to keep employees and members of the public safe from the spread of COVID-19.
