In a press release, the prefecture details all the measures taken to curb urban violence:
> Prohibition of an undeclared gathering in the Dijon city center sector on Friday June 30, 2023 from 6 p.m. to midnight.
> Authorization for the capture, recording and transmission of images, in particular by drones, by the departmental directorate of public security of the Côte-d’Or (national police) in respect of the security of goods and people, in order to prevent breaches of public order, from June 29 to July 3, 2023 inclusive, between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.
> Prohibition of carrying or transporting weapons, ammunition and objects that may constitute a weapon in the municipalities of the metropolitan area of Dijon from June 29 to Monday July 3, 2023 inclusive.
> Prohibition on the transfer and sale of fireworks and pyrotechnic articles of category F3 and F4 in the municipalities of the metropolitan area of Dijon from June 29, 2023 to Monday July 3, 2023 inclusive.
> Ban on the use of fireworks and pyrotechnic articles, whatever the category, in the municipalities of the metropolitan area of Dijon.
> Prohibition to buy, sell or transport any fuel by jerry cans, cubitainers, cans, bottles on the territory of the municipalities of the Dijon metropolis from June 29 to Monday July 03, 2023 inclusive.
> Ban on transporting fireworks and other pyrotechnic articles or flammable, chemical or explosive products, except for legitimate reasons, in the municipalities of the Dijon metropolis from June 29, 2023 to Monday July 3, 2023 inclusive.
> Activation of reinforced operational coordination in urban areas and territories, a system which “allows, under the authority of the prefect, the director of public security and the commander of the departmental gendarmerie group to act together and in a complementary manner. The objective is to ensure the safety of fellow citizens in a logic of territorial continuity. Exceptional situations, such as urban violence, may require mutual assistance to allow an immediate increase in power of available forces”.
