“Of course we do, we are stable here by the middle of next year,” said Freddy.
Freddy is one of the New Yorkers who thinks that despite predictions that the worst of the virus is yet to come in winter, the city will recover soon.
And Freddy is not the only one.
A survey by Spectrum News and IPSOS shows that 64 percent of those surveyed said they saw their future in the city.

Still, some New Yorkers like Ruben think the recovery process for New York City will take more than a year.
“Yes, but according to how things are going, if we don’t take care of ourselves it will get worse,” said Rubén.
In Spectrum’s online survey of 1,451 people from October 7-19, 49 percent of those surveyed said they had trouble paying monthly bills.
The vast majority, 70 percent to be exact, are hopeful that the overall city situation will improve in more than six months.
“That depends on the vaccine when it appears … this is a strong problem. I think that in six months they will solve everything better but I don’t think they will solve it,” said another New Yorker.
In terms of day-to-day needs, such as taking public transportation, 48 percent said they were comfortable with taking the subway or bus.
