Meaningless or ingenious: Electric car gets cryptocurrency while parked – ᐉ News from Fakti.bg – Auto

Canadian manufacturer of light electric vehicles Daymak announcements an upcoming electric car that can extract the cryptocurrencies Bitcoin, Ethereum and Doge – while charging or parked.

According to the company’s announcement, the Spiritus electric car will be launched in 2023 and will be equipped with an “industry-leading graphics processor.” However, details on the specific capabilities of cryptocurrency mining hardware are scarce.

“The Daymak Spiritus is the first car in history with cryptocurrency hardware and technology programmed into the user interface,” the statement said. Each Spiritus will be an “environmentally friendly cryptocurrency digging unit” and will be equipped with Daymak Nebular hardware, a Nebular crypto wallet and a solar charging system.

The company says their car, unlike any other vehicle, will not be a depreciating asset: “While most vehicles are idle while sitting in the garage, the Nebula Miner will make money while your Spiritus is parked.”

Despite the technological feat, many experts believe that the venture will not be so profitable. However, Daymak now accepts pre-orders for the car, as it can also be purchased through crypto payments in Doge, Ethereum, Cardano and Bitcoin, and also “works with various exchanges to offer leasing payments through crypto.”

Spiritus is available in several variants, the most expensive being priced at $ 149,000. The models seem to differ only in driving efficiency, such as maximum speed and battery life, as well as added features for wireless charging and custom paint – not in hardware “digging” capabilities.

“We envision a future in which tolls, parking and your order from the store will be paid directly on the move with cryptocurrency. Your online accounts and your banking can be processed through the same software platform, and everything can be paid with cryptocurrency, ”said Aldo Bayoki, President of Daymak.

This is not the first time a car has been equipped with crypto-digging hardware, back in January we told you about crypto enthusiast Simon Brown, who installed a portable platform to dig into your BMW i8 hybrid car. The owner then said his car could generate $ 122,000 in profits a year.
