Towards the end of the ceremony, two red flares were lit to honor the late rock star.
– We have to celebrate Hans-Erik for the unique and nice guy he was, says Heimly about the slightly unusual feature.
He describes Husby as someone who was particularly good at helping everyone who struggled.
– He had a big heart and a lot of friends, was incredibly wise and a fantastic guy.
Phillie / Philip Obuskovic, who was Hanks guitarist in recent times, says Hans-Erik had a unique ability to talk to people.
– You were my big brother, the big brother I always wanted, says Obuskovic and says that they traveled together on a European tour.
– You took me under your wings. You guided me if I was lost. You looked at me as if I was always your own flesh and blood and your door was always open to me and mine was always open to you.
Obuskovic tells of when his own father gave away, Hans-Erik did not let him out of sight for days.
– You became my biggest supporter and mentor. I will always carry your goodness and your talent with me.

Hans-Erik’s daughter dedicated a piece of music to her father which was played in the church: “My Funny Valentine” was the song Hans-Erik put on when she could not sleep and he left the door to the bedroom ajar.
During the ceremony, the pastor also read out some words from Husby’s girlfriend Jeanette Johansen:
– Thank you for letting me feel the true love and happiness that everyone dreams of experiencing.
Hans-Erik’s brother, Kaare Dyvik Husby, played the piano in church. The opening song was Jon English’s “Six Ribbons”, the theme song from “Against All Winds”, which was a very popular TV series in the 1980s.
– Incomprehensible
On the way into Lillestrøm church, VG spoke to a weeping artist Carina Dahl.
– It is incomprehensible when you come here. It’s pretty tough.
– How has it been lately ?
– The last time has been unreal, you do not think it’s true. These are the days you dread.

Knut Schreiner, guitarist in Turboneger, was also among the participants in the church.
– It’s nice to be here and say a dignified farewell to Hans Erik. We have a lot of common history, many memories and experiences we have shared. But we have not had much contact in the last ten years after we each went our separate ways in our careers and lives.
He tells VG that playing in a band is very strong.
– You understand that when you grow up. Even people who have only played in bands for two years during that period have it as a central part of their identity.
Wednesday night it became known that Thomas Seltzer, Husby’s former band colleague in Turboneger, was prevented from attending the funeral due to NRK recordings in the USA .
– Hans Erik knew well about itineraries like this, we had many of them together. He gives me enough thumbs up and pats my shoulder. I will honor my brother later, in his own way, he wrote on his own Facebook page.
– Had a big heart
Åge Sten Nilsen, best known as the front figure «Glam »In the band Wig Wam, became acquainted with Hans-Erik Dyvik Husby in 2008/2009.
– Today we get to try to remember the good times, I think. Praise a guy who had a big heart. He was one of the few who saw me when I was lying down, so we had a lot to talk about, even though we had different problems.
– When was the last time you met each other?
– It was on his comeback just before the corona. Since then there has been nothing. Then he was a happy guy who had made a comeback, stood bare-chested at a bar in Gothenburg and was a very happy man. It was good to see him. Then he was out of the darkness again, it seemed.
