The social action of the Holy Metropolis of Piraeus continues with the undivided support of PAE Olympiacos. For one more year, on the initiative of the president of the group, Vangelis Marinakis, the work and the great contribution of the Piraeus Diocese to society is supported in practice, with the distribution of thousands of love meals on the holy days of Easter.

Thousands of food items were delivered to our fellow citizens in need at the holy church of Agios Nikolaos in the port of Piraeus.
“You see for yourself the thousands of our fellow human beings who have come here patiently, but above all with dignity, waiting to receive this gift of love, the basket, this package of necessities that are missing from the cupboards and the refrigerators of our fellow human beings”, says Dimitris Alfieris, director of the office of the Metropolitan of Piraeus.
Among the volunteers and priests were also members of the Olympiakos youth team that won the European championship a few days ago and made all Greeks proud.
“Of course these moves are always very important, maybe they are more important than a victory, than a qualification. These give us joy to help the people who have real problems and as long as we are well and as long as Olympiacos and our president are well, we will help this world in need”, said Thanos Papadoudis.
“Of course it is very important outside the competition for the team in these difficult days to provide people with food. We see that Olympiacos and Mr. Marinakis have always offered their help in recent years and this will continue,” said Isidoros Koutsidis.
