A few days before the first round of the presidential election, our newspaper is setting out to meet Lot-et-Garonne citizens. What is (or) the essential measure that they would take after their election to the Élysée? Or what decision should the winning candidate immediately take – because our Lot-et-Garonnais do not show up; on the other hand, they vote…
“A real salary problem”
Morgane Viguier, dance artist, is 26 years old and lives in La Croix-Blanche. And her, what would she do with this five-year term at the Elysée? It would raise the salaries of nursing staff, a project already mentioned in this same section. “There is a real problem with wages in these professions. I have friends who are studying medicine, but also to be nurses or nursing assistants, and they are seriously wondering about their future. , for recruitment to restart. Money is needed, but also to give meaning to these professionals, who are committed by nature. They say they do quantitative work, they “treat” patients one after the other… But they want on the contrary, do something qualitative, devote more time to the sick. We must therefore reform health in depth.”
Reform the school
“I think that we must also rethink the education system, and open up to new methods to recover students who drop out. There is certainly the problem of overcrowded classes, but students are also inundated with certain knowledge that they do not not use. I think that we must therefore adapt the subjects to the students, in the spirit of the reform of the baccalaureate thanks to which high school students choose their main courses. We must also, in college for example, insert more communication, “fun or manual activities. It’s too academic. And culture must be more present: for some young people, school is the only place to access the arts. They must be made aware of it from an early age. C It is therefore a major reform that I would promote.”
“Finally, I would extend the “Covid” aid paid to small cultural structures. Because the crisis is still very present, shows are struggling to resume, and certain cultural actors are clearly in danger. We must help them get through this difficult course. .”
