MDG with an ultimatum to the Labor Party on the E18 development

The county council currently consists of the Labor Party, the Center Party, the Socialist People’s Party and the Green Party, and is dependent on the MDGs’ mandates to have a majority.

An ultimatum that was adopted on Friday by the MDG’s county council group, states that if the county council adopts such a toll guarantee, there will no longer be a basis for the MDG to remain in the county council.

– The platform we negotiated after our fall election last year is crystal clear: the E18 project for the government is not wanted in Viken. Therefore, a county municipal toll guarantee for the project is out of the question, says Kristoffer Robin Haug in a comment to NTB. He is MDG’s county councilor for public transport in Viken.

– Cutting greenhouse gas emissions, air pollution and car traffic is more important now than ever. Viken’s collective investment cannot consist of big words and giant motorways, says Haug

– What MDG thinks about E18 is widely known, says the county council’s leader Tonje Brenna (Labor) to NRK.
