The county council currently consists of the Labor Party, the Center Party, the Socialist People’s Party and the Green Party, and is dependent on the MDGs’ mandates to have a majority.
An ultimatum that was adopted on Friday by the MDG’s county council group, states that if the county council adopts such a toll guarantee, there will no longer be a basis for the MDG to remain in the county council.
– The platform we negotiated after our fall election last year is crystal clear: the E18 project for the government is not wanted in Viken. Therefore, a county municipal toll guarantee for the project is out of the question, says Kristoffer Robin Haug in a comment to NTB. He is MDG’s county councilor for public transport in Viken.

Viken must guarantee future toll revenues for the development to go smoothly.
