McLaren team member with coronavirus recovers well and is free of complaints NOW

The McLaren team member who has the coronavirus is doing well. According to director Zak Brown of the British Formula 1 team, the person in question has virtually no complaints.

“I am happy to report that he is recovering, is no longer bothered by the symptoms and that all of us who are in quarantine (fifteen team members, ed.) Are in a positive position,” Brown told Monday The Race.

“We are grateful for the fantastic support those quarantined from their teammates, our partners, Formula 1 members and fans from around the world.”

The team member’s positive test led to McLaren withdrawing from the Australian Grand Prix on Thursday, the first race of the Formula 1 season. Eventually, the event was canceled, just like the Grands Prix of Bahrain and Vietnam.

Earlier, a line was also drawn by China because of the COVID-19 virus, which means that Zandvoort is the next circuit on the calendar. However, the continuation of the first Dutch Grand Prix since 1985 is also very uncertain.

The coronavirus in short

  • The coronavirus mainly spreads through sneezes and cough drops. The virus can be transmitted directly from person to person or (for a limited time) through surfaces such as door handles.
  • An infected person infects two to three others on average. Precautions are necessary to contain this.
  • The vast majority of patients have mild (flu-like) complaints.
  • Nearly all deaths involve the elderly or other frail, such as heart, lung or diabetes patients. If everyone complies with the measures, this reduces their risks.
