They did it ! Yououtubers Mcfly and Carlito have exceeded 10 million views with their video on barrier gestures, a challenge that the President of the Republic had launched to them.
It only took three days for the duo to reach this impressive score, after having published their video on Sunday, entitled “I remember”. Mcfly & Carlito had chosen to stage themselves around a musical clip to convey the message around barrier gestures.

And now: a filming at the Élysée or an anecdote competition?
“I challenge you: make a video to re-explain these gestures, the importance of respecting them, of not getting together, of not taking any risks, of not having large groups, to telework as much as possible, do this very simple video and if you have 10 million views, I make a commitment, you come to shoot at the Elysée […] It’s your turn to play, “the Head of State had launched in a video to the two YouTubers who are adept at crazy challenges, and whose channel exceeds 6.2 million subscribers.
Despite the political dimension of the request, Mcfly & Carlito had announced to their community on Friday their choice to accept this challenge. They also warned: if the goal of 10 million views is reached, they will offer the president a competition of anecdotes.
In April 2020, the duo organized a charity day on YouTube – the “maradon” – which raised more than 400,000 euros in donations for French hospitals and nursing homes. This time, all the financial benefits of this challenge will be used to help students with great psychological, financial and health difficulties in the face of this Covid-19 epidemic.
