McDonald’s successfully carried out the second edition of its McDonald’s Family Race 2024, which took place this Sunday, February 25. The Race brought together hundreds of families in a day full of joy, fun, sports and solidarity.
In El Salvador, the race had the participation of approximately 1,000 runnerswhile in Guatemala and Honduras more than 7,500 people joined, making this activity the largest family race in the region with 8,500 participants.
The McDonald’s Family Race was full of fun for Salvadoran families, as it included the 1K, 5K and 10K categories. The sports day began at 6:30 am. with warm-up activities and entertainment and the race began at 7:00 am in Bicentennial Park, with the iconic Ronald McDonald giving the starting flag.

In addition to promoting an active life through sport, it is important for McDonald’s to generate a positive impact on the community, so through the “Community Connection” pillar of its brand platform “Small Actions Big Changes” they promoted the race giving the Sana Mi Corazón foundation the amount of $5,000.
The McDonald’s 2024 Family Race had the support of allied companies such as Green Power, Banco Industrial, Powerade, K-Nino, Centro Comercial Galerías, Centro Comercial las Cascadas, Salud,Con Huevos, Bimbo, Therapy, R4H, Sportline Kids, BeFit, and National Charity Lottery.
