In this sense, it is worth acknowledging what McDonald’s is doing in the Netherlands, a market that is located as the ideal environment to test a new restaurant model that hopes to respond to the measures of social isolation that must be followed once the emergency is over. sanitary.

Specifically in the city of Arnhem, the fast food chain has been testing ways to maintain social distance once containment measures are minimized.

Considering what was told to Reuters by Eunice Koekkoek, spokesperson for McDonald’s Netherlands, “we have tried to figure out how to keep our customers and employees safe, while maintaining a restaurant atmosphere. These are drastic changes, but we hope to do them in a way that customers don’t notice too much. ”

It is important to note that the brand expects this new format of restaurants to work in 180 out of 252 establishments with which it has in that country, which although it would not allow it to enter 100 percent of the game if it would give the guideline to attend almost the 70 percent from your regular customers.

The appearance of the new prototype

In this way, the new design of McDonald’s-owned establishments is expected to adapt to health requirements to prevent a second outbreak of the epidemic.
