“McDonald’s Latvia Increases Salaries for Employees to Stay Competitive in Fierce Labor Market”

There has always been fierce competition in the labor market in Latvia, and the company continues to observe it even now, Vladimirs Janevskis, the manager of McDonald’s in the Baltic States, told “Delfi Bizness”. He informs that the restaurant chain has increased salaries for employees in recent years.

“McDonald’s” currently employs more than 850 people in Latvia, and the newly opened restaurant in Riga, Juglas Street 95A has just managed to complete a team of 60 employees. “Creating a new team of employees is always a challenge,” emphasizes Janevski, adding that the company’s value is “inclusion and diversity,” so “the door is open to everyone.”

He says that the past couple of years have brought several changes to the labor market, which have been affected by both the pandemic and the hybrid work model, as well as global economic and political fluctuations.
