Within the framework of International Book Day, McDonald’s celebrated this date in a big way by giving special recognition to the winners of the 9th edition of its story contest, which was called “I take care of my planet.”
The contest is one of the actions carried out by McDonald’s as part of its “Community Connection” pillar within the framework of its “Small Actions Big Changes” platform, in which it promotes the development of creative skills through reading and writing. . In addition, through this type of contest it is also carrying out initiatives under its “Environment” pillar since the theme of the story focuses on taking care of the planet.
In the ninth edition of this contest, school-aged children participated and wrote an original and unpublished story, thus awakening their creativity and developing a narrative in search of the well-being of the environment.
On this special day, which celebrates International Book Day, McDonald’s carried out this activity in which each winning child received 30 printed books that include their story and that of the winning children of this contest developed in the McDonald’s Mesoamerica countries. (El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua). Additionally, one of the participants had the special opportunity to read her story to the audience.
