McDonald’s Fries Over 50 Years Old Found: ‘How Do They Keep So Long?’ † Abroad

Rob Jones was replacing an old toilet paper rack when he recently came across the fast food bags behind a wall. Given the old print, they come from somewhere from 1955 to 1961, CNN reports, partly in view of the former mascot Speedee – the predecessor of Ronald McDonald.

The American couple from Crystal Lake was especially surprised how tight the structure of the fries was. “When we saw the fries, we were like, ‘This is unreal.’ How on earth can those fries still be in this bag and how are they stored so well?!” said Gracie. After some local research, it turned out that their 1959 home was built the same year as one of the oldest McDonalds branches on the same street.

The couple wants to keep the bags and accompanying fries “as a cool piece of history” or sell to the highest bidder. The fast food restaurant has been asked for a response by American media, but so far has not been forthcoming.
