McDonald’s: – Cut this from the menu

The American burger chain is cutting its entire breakfast range from its Danish restaurants, reports the Danish online newspaper B.T. From Tuesday, it will no longer be possible to buy a McToast, Egg McMuffin, McToast Bacon or any of the other breakfast products.

– Our entire breakfast segment will disappear, says Mads Jensen, in McDonald’s Denmark’s communications department, to the newspaper.

The reason is, among other things, that it is complicated for those who work in the restaurant to set up the kitchen for the various menus. It is not possible to offer both breakfast and the usual range at the same time.

– We have many guests who request the entire range already from the morning, and now they will be able to get it, says Jensen.

The only typical breakfast item on the menu that remains is the coffee.

McMuffin Egg is perhaps the most famous of the breakfast sandwiches from McDonalds, an English muffin with a slice of ham, fried egg and cheese. This was launched in the USA at the end of the 1960s, but did not appear on Norwegian menus until 2013, when the burger chain launched breakfast in its Norwegian restaurants.

Norwegian fans of the breakfast menu at McDonald’s can breathe a sigh of relief.

– I can assure your readers that the breakfast can be added to McDonald’s, writes Kristina Johansen, communications advisor at McDonald’s Norway, in an SMS to DinSide.
