The (take-out) restaurant acted in violation of the corona regulations.
Last night around 1:30 a.m., according to Heerts, it was found that the McDrive was not complying with the opening hours from the emergency ordinance. Since October 14, pick-up of food and drinks is allowed until 1 a.m. at the latest.
According to Heerts’ spokesperson, the owner of the busy catering establishment, Henk Koning, was informed about the decision at 11.30 this morning.

On Monday, the chairman of the security region will decide how long the McDrive will be closed. Until that time, no one is allowed to enter the building and its parking lot. “This building has been designated a forbidden location with immediate effect,” you can read. The parking lot is closed with gates.
It is not the first time that Heerts has intervened hard after a violation of corona regulations by a catering establishment. That was when guests were still allowed to be welcomed inside. At the time, restaurant Silk had 84 guests, plus a staff of sixteen. The limit was thirty guests.
