Patrice Evra label of the guy who absolutely wants to find the mole: Joel Embiid
– Even without Joel Embiid et Paul Georgein difficulty with their knees, the Sixers raised their heads after five defeats in a row. Brooklyn’s reception ended in a victory (113-98), thanks to the tandem Jared McCain (30 pts) – Tyrese Maxey (26 pts), but we still had to work hard in the 4th quarter to erase a 9-point deficit. McCain, who shot 11/20 with 6 3-pointers, is establishing himself as one of the most serious contenders for the Rookie of the Year title, something we didn’t really see coming at the start of the season.
The Sixers will normally play again without Embiid and George on Sunday, still at home, against the Clippers, to try to win their 4th game of the season.
When the Sixers found themselves trailing the Brooklyn Nets with six minutes left on Friday night, starting guards Jared McCain and Tyrese Maxey combined to take the team’s next eight shot attempts — and they all went in.

– The Bucks are really doing better and Giannis Antetokounmpo is working to make up for the delay accumulated in the rankings in the first weeks. Milwaukee defeated Indiana (129-117) for a third consecutive victory. The Greek Freak finished with a triple-double with 37 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds, supported by Damian Lillard (24 pts, 12 asts) et Gary Trent Jr (18 pts) in particular. Here are the Bucks with five successes in six matches.
– Dallas spoiled the return of Nikola Jokicabsent for three matches. Despite the triple-double of the reigning MVP (33 pts, 17 rebounds, 10 asts), who became a father for the second time this week and a big comeback after being 24 points behind, the Nuggets fell at home (123 -120). The two game changers for the Mavs were Nazi Marshall (26 pts, his NBA record) and PJ Washington (22 pts, 13 rebounds), excellent when it came to regaining its senses after the squandering of this enormous lead on the scoreboard.
Luka Doncicwho will miss at least four matches including this one, was absent. Note that Denver is already eliminated from the final phase of the NBA Cup after this new defeat in a match counting for the competition.
– The Celtics dominated the Wizards (108-96) in Washington despite the clumsiness of Jayson Tatum (0/10 at 3 pts, 16 pts in total) and a more sluggish collective performance than usual. Jaylen Brown (31 pts) and his comrades accelerated in the 4th quarter, to resist Jordan Poole (23 pts) and Kyle Kuzma (21 pts), aka “Koole and Puzma”, as Antoine unintentionally nicknamed them at the start of the season. We feel a little sorry for the spectators at the Verizon Center who saw 54 3-point attempts missed by the two teams combined.
Bilal Coulibaly (6 pts, 7 rbds, 3 asts, 2 stls, 1 blk) and Alex Sarr (6 pts, 9 rebounds, 1 blk) were both starters for the Wizards.
– The Warriors are 3-0 in the NBA Cup and Andrew Wiggins (30 pts) is in very good shape. This is what we need to remember from Golden State’s victory (112-108) in New Orleans last night. Free throws from Buddy Hield and Draymond Green made the game a little too close for the Warriors’ liking. Trey Murphy had the opportunity to score a probable game winner with 5 seconds remaining, but he didn’t hit the mark.
– Chicago took advantage of Atlanta’s defensive generosity to win (136-122) their 7th victory of the season (in 17 matches) and try to get closer to a balanced record. Zach LaVine (26 pts), Ayo Dosunmu (20 pts), Coby White (20 pts) and Nikola Vucevic (16 pts, 11 rebounds) did the job.
Trae Young (25 pts, 13 asts) et Jalen Johnson (25 pts, 13 rebounds) were once again the driving forces for the Hawks, but in vain.
Zaccharie Risacher only played 16 minutes even though he started, for 4 points to 0/2 from 3 points.
– Houston did not take Portland’s reception lightly and won quite easily (116-88) thanks in particular to Dillon Brooks (28 pts, his record this season) and very underrated Tari Eason (22 pts). No one scored more than 13 points for the Blazers, who were playing without Scoot Henderson.
Rayan Rupert played 16 minutes off the bench for Portland, with 5 points, 3 rebounds, but also 3 turnovers on the clock.
– Without making any noise, the Clippers are winning matches and are at 10-7 after their convincing victory against Sacramento (104-88). Los Angeles limited the Kings below 90 points, while relying on the playmaking of James Harden (22 pts, 9 asts) despite the absence of Norman Powell, its top scorer. Nicolas Batum played 18 minutes for 9 points (3/5 to 3 pts) and 3 rebounds.
The combined 53 points of De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis didn’t change anything
