SAINT-LOUIS — Charlie McAvoy scored 48 seconds into overtime and the Boston Bruins beat the Blues 3-2 in St. Louis on Tuesday.
Jake DeBrusk and Taylor Hall scored the other goals for the Bruins, while Jeremy Swayman made 20 saves.
The Bruins won a second straight game after three straight losses, their worst streak of the season.
Robert Thomas and Pavel Buchnevich were the goalscorers for the Blues, who had won their last nine meetings.
The club had an 11-0-1 record since March 26.
Thomas has had at least one point in 14 straight matches; this is the best running streak in the league.
He had seven goals and 26 points during that span.
Ville Husso stopped 31 shots but suffered the setback after six straight wins.
The Bruins hadn’t played in St. Louis since a 5-1 win in Game 6 of the 2019 Stanley Cup Finals. The Bruins were victorious in seven games.
