MBZ Flyover Temporarily Closed Due to Congestion of KM 47 Japek Toll Road

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia

The police implement a policy of opening and closing the Jakarta-Cikampek elevated toll road or Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, or MBZ elevated toll road on Wednesday (27/4) morning.

The MBZ elevated toll road is temporarily closed due to the increasingly congested flow of vehicles at KM 47 of the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road.

“Today, Wednesday, April 27 at 08.15 WIB, the MBZ elevated toll road is temporarily opened and closed,” said Director of Traffic for the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Sambodo Purnomo Yogo to reporters, Wednesday (27/4).

Sambodo revealed that the open and close system was due to the traffic density at KM 47 of the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road.

Sambodo said that later if the traffic density of vehicles begins to break down, the elevated toll road will reopen normally.

“Because of the density at KM 47, the meeting from the elevated with the one from the bottom later, when it has melted, we will reopen it,” said Sambodo.

PT Jasamarga Cikampek Flyover as the manager of the Mohammed Bin (MBZ) Elevated Toll Road has also confirmed at the discretion of the police that it has temporarily closed the access to the toll road from Jakarta to Cikampek.

The closure started at 08.08 WIB to reduce the density of vehicles on the MBZ Elevated Toll Road.

The temporary closures are for the MBZ Elevated Toll Road entrance access from Kalimalang, JORR E Km 46+200, Jatiasih Access JORR E Km 45+200 and Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Access Km 10 Cikampek.

The density occurred due to the meeting of the Km 48 off ramp in the direction of Cikampek, the MBZ Elevated Toll Road and the lower Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road.
