A transfer from Mbappé could have become one of the hot topics in the winter mercato.
Last summer, the French goldcrest already seemed to be massaging himself towards the exit at PSG by flirting with Real Madrid for weeks. But PSG declined the offer.
Mbappe has an expiring contract in Paris and PSG can still collect a transfer fee for him if he leaves during the winter break. “But I’m not leaving in January,” the fast attacker said in an interview with CNN. “That is 100 percent certain.”
“I will finish the season at PSG and I want to give everything to win the Champions League, the French title and the French Cup. I do that for the fans. They deserve it.”
Mbappe also emphasizes his good relationship with Messi. “I’m glad I stayed with PSG this summer. Paris is my city and it’s also fun to play with Lionel Messi and the other guys.”
“It is a great moment in the history of football that Lionel Messi is currently playing in Paris,” said Mbappe.
