The separation between Kylian Mbappé and PSG has left behind a lot of waste and open questions that are far from resolved. The striker, who after seven years and 256 goals said goodbye to France to move on a free transfer to Real Madrid (with whom he made his debut, scoring and winning the European Super Cup) is still in litigation with his old club, from whom he is asking – so far without success – for payment of a sum of around 55 million euros (gross).

A figure that according to the newspaper The World includes the last third of the signing bonus (36 million euros gross) that the player should have received in February, the last three months’ salaries provided for in the contract (April, May, June) and an “ethical bonus” for these three months.
What is PSG at risk?
Last June, Mbappé’s lawyers sent PSG a formal warning, but it had no effect. The 25-year-old French striker then turned to the legal committee of the French football league and, through the French football federation, to UEFA. If Mbappé’s accusations are proven, the PSG risks heavy sanctions: from the market block to the revocation of the UEFA license which would lead to exclusion from the cups.
