Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe has criticized his country, France, because of the Real Madrid coach, the legendary Zinedine Zidane.
The French national team has renewed Didier Deschamps’ contract until 2026, following his success in reaching the World Cup final in the latest version.
Press reports had confirmed that Zinedine Zidane would succeed Deschamps at the helm of the roosters, but for unknown reasons this did not happen.
Mbappe said on his Twitter account: “Zidane is France. The legend should not be despised like this.”
This came in response to statements by the president of the French Football Federation, Noel Le Graet, who came out in statements on Radio Monte Carlo criticizing Zidane.
He said: “I don’t care whether or not Zidane takes over the position of coach of Brazil. He doesn’t communicate with me, and even if he did, I wouldn’t answer him.”
And he continued: “You journalists talk a lot about Zidane. If you want to make a program about him, do it. Then he could find a company that trains him”.
Zidane had turned down an invitation to participate in the last World Cup final at Lusail Stadium in Qatar.
