MB-朴 use of’inclusion’ instead of’integration’ without mention of amnesty

President Moon Jae-in did not mention the pardon of former President Lee Myung-bak and Park Geun-hye in his New Year’s address on the 11th. In addition, instead of’integration’, which can be interpreted as suggesting an amnesty, the expression’inclusion’ was used to keep a distance from the controversy over amnesty. President Moon stressed that it is of utmost importance to achieve an inclusive recovery that narrows the gap deepened by coronavirus (a novel coronavirus infection). President Moon originally described the New Year as the year of’recovery’ and’leap’ and’integration’ at the New Year’s Meeting on the 7th, but changed the expression to’embracing’ instead of’integration’ after four days. President Moon mentioned the word economy the most 29 times on this day, 16 times for Corona and 16 times for recovery.

President Moon did not mention the launch of a high-ranking public officials criminal investigation agency (aircraft agency), and emphasized that “we finally made legal and institutional reforms, which was a long-standing assignment last year,” regarding the reform of power institutions.
