Electrification has improved fuel efficiency, despite increased productivity – the updated Hongqi H5 consumes 6.4 liters of gasoline per 100 kilometers in the combined cycle – this is 0.7 liters less than the non-hybrid version and 0.6 liters less than the declared Mazda6 consumption with a 192-horsepower (252 Nm) aspirated 2.5.
In addition, the Hongqi H5 has a basic version with a 169-horsepower (258 Nm) “turbo four” 1.5. The new FAW turbo engine is combined with a 7-band preselective “robot”. Such a business sedan consumes 6.2 liters of gasoline per 100 kilometers – 0.1 liters less than the Mazda6 with a 150-horsepower (202 Nm) 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine.
